Abstract:
The article focuses on the Great American Gun War of the twentieth century and its effect on present laws concerning with gun control in the U.S. It informs about the efforts made by District of Columbia city government and Massachusetts government for handgun prohibition in 1976. It also discusses the rise of the handgun prohibition lobbies in 1970 and its revolt at the U.S. National Rifle Association (NRA).
